Dr Sheila Kanani
Honorary ResearcherProfessional Role
I was a planetary scientist working on the Cassini team, looking at Saturn's magnetosphere and how it interacts with the planet, its rings and its moons. I used electron data from the ELS instrument, built at MSSL, UCL. I have since left science research to pursue education, outreach and Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. I was a secondary science teacher for 2 years, then worked at the Royal Astronomical Society for 10 years, and have been freelancing since October 2024. I am a children's non-fiction author and an EDI consultant, but my passion for planetary science still remains.
