Profile

Gaurav Gupta is Lecturer in Chemical Engineering at 缅北轮奸. His research interests involve electrochemical engineering, catalyst development for energy storage and generation systems (Electrolysis, Fuel cells). After graduating with a degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from National Institute of Technology Rourkela, India in 2007, He went on to do a Masters in Materials and Metallurgical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, India where he developed his interests in electrochemistry and materials development. He was offered a College of Engineering and Physical Sciences Scholarship to do a PhD (2010-2014) on development of Bimetallic Pt-Cr electrocatalysts for PEMFCs from the University of Birmingham (working with Professor Paula M Mendes and Dr Surbhi Sharma). He joined as a post-doctoral researcher in 2015 on an Innovate UK project at Imperial College London on the development of low-cost proton exchange membrane fuel cells in partnership with Warwick Manufacturing Group (WMG), Arcola Energy, Lohmann Technologies, 4th Energy Wave. In 2016, he joined Newcastle University as a research associate where he worked on various projects related to Alkaline Fuel Cells, Alkaline electrolysers, Catalysis.
